Freelance .NET Developer

Source Group are currently working with an International bank as they look to hire a Freelance Senior Developer for a long term project.

We are looking for a C# developer to join our team of talented engineers building financial risk management systems. Financial services experience and in particular experience in Banking Front Office or Risk Calculation is advantageous but not essential. The type of the job would be a combination between operational (working on improvements) and on-going projects (automating risk operations and modernizing the application stack).

The Senior analyst developer would be responsible and able to take ownership of projects and deliver stable and incremental changes on frequently. Financial services experience, with the ability to gather requirements from and work with end users.

Responsibilities:

• As part of the IT team, contribute to the continued development of the Risk IT micro-services stack,
• Concrete projects for 2022/23: development of a distributed risk calculation platform; credit checking to OpenShift; strengthen Risk IT’s’ DevSecOps process; small system enhancements.


Must haves:

• Very strong working development experience in C#
• Financial sector experience. 
• Strong working knowledge of common algorithms and data structures and design patterns. We would expect the candidates to have a good understanding of design patterns and with an ability to prove their delivery skills. 
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server etc. (all listed databases are at the same level in terms of expected experience)
• Previous experience in the financial services industry will be a strong advantage for the candidate. Previous exposure to risk calculations and financial data analysis would be highly appreciated.

This is a long term project, and requires candidates to be based / relocate to Switzerland (EU Passport required)
